PATCH is an ultra-low-power long-range encrypted tactical mesh network that is purpose-built to interface with existing network architectures and provides a communications range of up to 3 km (peer-to-peer) depending on terrain and interference.
PATCH is a body-worn device designed to seamlessly integrate into the warfighter’s individual equipment. Each PATCH mesh networks with other PATCH devices within its designated group, allowing group members to securely text and share geolocation information without cell service, Wi-Fi or satellite.
PATCH also automatically monitors the activity and location of devices within its designated network, so team members can keep tabs on each other and conduct remote wellness checks. PATCH uses Bluetooth to connect with a smartphone to provide user interface and can be wirelessly charged.
